Duties of Chamber Committees
EXECUTIVE BOARD
Consists of the
President, Vice President and the Secretary.
AMBASSADORS
The
Ambassadors Committee was created to serve as the public relations arm of the
Chamber. The group implements programs promoting Chamber membership,
involvement and retention. The Ambassadors Committee also finds speakers for
the monthly Network Luncheon as well as speaks at the lunches on behalf of the
Chamber.
BUSINESS AND SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP
The
Business and School Partnership Committee encourages collaboration between
business and schools in Watford City.
DOWN
TOWN ASSOCIATION
The
Down Town Association is the serve and support the growth and development of
downtown Watford City to benefit our members and the entire community.
EVENTS
The events
committee, plans promotions and event throughout the year to draw people to
Watford City. Watford City Chambers main events are the Chamber/EDC Annual
Meeting, Ribfest, Trail of Treats, Turkey Bingo and the Parade of Lights. The Chamber also helps with Homefest as a
financial sponsor and advisor for the Down Town Association.
GOVERNMENT
AFFAIRS
The
Government Affairs Committee was assembled to identify and address
legislative
issues affecting business and the economic growth of Watford City.
LEADERSHIP
WATFORD CITY
The
Leadership Watford City Committee works to develop local leaders who actively
participate in and support community progress.
MEMBERSHIP
The primary purpose of
the membership committee is to broaden the base of Chamber membership by recruiting
new members and working to retain current membership contact and by developing
membership benefits.
